Weslo Cadence C44 Treadmill Review

Weslo produces a range of economical treadmills, one of which is the Weslo Cadence C44 treadmill.  It is priced somewhere between $299 – $350 (including the shipment charges), however, the question remains whether it is a good buy for that price or not. Here’s a review of this treadmill to get some perspective.

The Weslo Cadence C44 treadmill comes with a 2.25 THP Mach Drive Motor for the power belt that can produce a maximum speed of 10 miles per hour, power inclination of 10% as opposed to manual inclination, an EKG heart rate monitor and a fold-up structure so that it may be folded and put in storage after use. The dimensions of the treadbelt are16 x 47″. It also has an emergency key attached to the console, which is worn by the user whilst using the treadmill to control an accident if in case there is a mishap or a loss of balance. It will act as a main power unit for the treadmill and shut it off if the key is removed.

The obvious strengths of this treadmill is the price that it is being offered at and the features it includes in that price. For instance, a motor-powered belt and a power inclination is rarely a feature you would find in an economic treadmill otherwise.  They usually come with a manual inclination set-up and a self-powered belt. The same goes for  the EKG Heart rate monitor of the Weslo Cadence treadmill C44, which is a scan area that allows one to see one’s heart rate while jogging/walking and compare it to the heart rates suggested on the displays on the console for different age groups. The motor of the Weslo Cadence C44 treadmill wltl29305 comes with a warranty of one year, which is also a significant bonus since it is rare that a manufacturer gives a warranty for a treadmill motor for more than 90 days.

There are, however, some drawbacks to this series, one of which is the dimension of the treadbelt, i.e. 16 x 47 inches. This is a considerably small walking area which could prove to be very problematic for taller people or heavy runners. The second drawback is the noise produced off the treadmill’s motor, since it’s treadbelt is powered by the motor and can be on the loud side.

While it may not be the best product for tall or heavy people, the Weslo Cadence C44 treadmill is a good choice considering the price range it falls under and all the features it offers within that. For basic exercise needs, this is more than a good deal.
